Who doesn’t love a good Cab? Reliable, delicious, and always a delight – we’re big fans of the Cabernet Sauvignon.
It’s a new year so here are some new recommendations for delightful Cabs for 2022.
If you’re looking for the classic Cabernet to go with a hearty winter meal, this is the one. It’s full of fruit and jammy flavors, so it’s the perfect pair for those fatty, salty foods. Ultraviolet Wines is a woman owned winery in Napa.
The soil of Mount Veeder in Napa is volcanic and mountainous, which causes the vines to work harder to get their nutrients. This results in more intensely concentrated fruits. The Cab from Lokoya is blossoming with violet and blue fruits, and loaded with luxurious tannins
The dark fruit-forward Cabernets from Stonestreet Estate are fermented in French oak barrels and aged 5 years in the bottle before they’re released. Luxuriously dark and earthy, all Cabs from this winery are single vineyard so you know you’re receiving the best of the best quality in every bottle.
This beauty has some sweeter notes like cocoa and vanilla to accompany the traditional dark fruits, plus a little spice with nutmeg and cassis. It will be the best bud to those rich and decadent cheeseboards or fat steaks on the grill.
Our last recommendation is an herbal take on the classic, with aromas of sage and spearmint to accompany the elegant blackberry and vanilla flavors. Silver Oak is very focused on sustainability and their committed efforts definitely show in every bottle.
What’s better than great wine and artisanal pizza?
The New York Times described Ridge Monte Bello as “America’s greatest Cabernet Sauvignon.”
