The New York City restaurant scene is one that is revered around the world for its exquisite menus, innovative tastes, and beautiful ambiences. The best part of having the greatest restaurants in the world are the wine lists that accompany them. While most of the establishments listed below can accommodate the above-average diner, the prices can hit levels that most of us only dream about.
If you ever get the opportunity to dine in one of these places, say yes immediately, and make sure to check out their wine lists.

Babbo: Owned by genius restauranteurs Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich, Babbo is a staple of the New York City fine dining scene. Given a 3-star review by Ruth Reichl herself, Babbo boasts an endless wine list of bottles of every size, variety, and of course price. Some of their most exquisite choices will cost you over $400 a bottle.
Eleven Madison Park: This 3 Michelin star restaurant is making waves upon NYC with it’s $295, 7-9 course seasonal tasting menu prepared by chef Daniel Humm. The only thing that is not included in that price? The wine. And depending on your choice, that could cost you between $30 and $50 a glass.
Jean-Georges: Known for its elegance, Jean-Georges is housed at the bottom of the Trump Tower at 1 Central Park West. The menu is full of incredible French dishes, and if you’re feeling thirsty, try the half bottle of Bordeaux for only $1,500 to quench your palate.
Daniel: In the heart of Midtown is easily the most expensive restaurant in New York City, Daniel, owned by world-renowned chef Daniel Boulud. With a reputation that big, they don’t play it safe at Daniel, especially considering the $470 caviar. The wine list here boasts over 2,000 selections, ranging from an easy $35 bottle of Rhone Syrah to a $10,000 bottle of Chateau D’Yquem from 1918.
Per Se: Thomas Keller has made plenty of noise with his second restaurant, Per Se, located in the Time Warner building in Columbus Circle. Not only does he provide two, nine-course tasting menus (where he never repeats an ingredient), but he also boasts a wine list of over 140 pages and countless bottles of wine of every color, taste, and price you can imagine.
Bouley: This French-inspired restaurant, owned by David Bouley, is known for their pure and delicate menus. To accompany these magnificent meal choices is a wine list of over 40,000 selections, and bottles that have a price tag of over $400. If you’re feeling fancy, check out the $1,500 bottle of champagne.
