It’s coming – can you feel it? Spring is on its way! Technically we have already passed the first day of spring but the temperatures are recognizing the season and those warm weather days will be here in no time.
And what’s our favorite part about the warm sunny seasons? That’s right – rosé! It’s not a picnic without a bottle of that gorgeous pink stuff and we’re here to show you the way on the five bottles you must try this year.
Hailing from Provence, this is anything but provincial. Enjoy a thoroughly fruity and floral palate with unique notes like lemongrass. It’s light and airy just like that spring air you’ll be enjoying at your picnic in the park.
Romance, Chateau de Berne Rosé
Think about those postcards from the South of France and then picture yourself in one, looking at the Mediterranean while sipping a glass of gorgeous rosé. It’s aptly named Romance because it inspires such romantic vibes with it’s lovely pink color, peach and strawberry flavors, and silky texture.
Stolpman Vineyards Rose “Love You Bunches” 2021
This vintage has more of a late harvest vibe, with that luxurious sweetness that comes with waiting just a bit longer for those sugars to accumulate. You get the delicious strawberry and peach notes with a boost of bright citrus and even hints of herbaceous mint.
Jamesport Vineyards East End Rose 2021
Jamesport knows good wines and this rosé is no different. It’s made with 100% Syrah grapes which gives it a depth of flavor that you might not find in generic rosés. Unlike the one above, it’s on the drier side with more of a floral palate, particularly rose, with hints of red fruit.
Sparkling Pointe Topaz Brut Rose 2018
It wouldn’t be a list of rosés without a sparkling one. The delightful bubbles are alongside notes of strawberry, cherry, and melon with a flavor not unlike a biscotti cookie. It’s elegant and bright, and perfect for a picnic.
