3 NYC Wine Festivals for Fall

by Sam Kimball
Here’s a rundown of the top three food and wine festivals in New York to check out this fall.

Okay, so it’s officially fall, which means summer is definitely over.

We’re sad to see the days of picnics in the park and bottles of summer water (aka rosé) leave us.

But we are very excited for sweater weather, changing leaves, and the opportunity to indulge in the opportunity to dig into those deep red wines we’ve been saving for cooler times.

Okay, so it’s officially fall, which means summer is definitely over. While we’re sad to see the days of picnics in the park and bottles of summer water (aka rosé) leave us, we are very excited for sweater weather, changing leaves, and the opportunity to indulge in the opportunity to dig into those deep red wines we’ve been saving for cooler times.

Fall in New York has so many wonderful benefits: the parks turn gorgeous colors, apple picking upstate, and of course, all of the fabulous food and wine festivals!

Here’s a rundown of the top three food and wine festivals in New York to check out this fall:

New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF)– October 11th- 14th

Hosted by the Food Network and Cooking Channel, this is a monster event. In fact, it’s a collection of over 80 events hosted in various venues around the city this October. Each event has a different premise and host and has a different price point associated with it. Major powerhouse chefs like Daniel Boulud, Alain Ducasse, and Andrew Zimmern host dinners, lectures, and demos on all things food. Events sell out quickly so grab your tickets now!

NYC Autumn Wine Fest– October 20th

Hosted by yours truly, this is our flagship event of the season, and this is our 6th year! Due to popular demand, we’ve actually expanded and moved into a larger venue so we can accommodate and celebrate even more fabulous wineries. Meet and mingle with some of the finest winemakers from around New York and the entire country while enjoying delicious bites prepped by the world-class culinary team at the landmark Altman building in Chelsea. If you’re truly feeling fancy, snag yourself a spot in the VIP Rosé and Bubbly suite and enjoy the high life with exclusive access!

Brooklyn Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival– November 10th

One of our favorite events every year, Brooklyn Crush turns Industry City into the Napa Valley of New York City. Get the best bites Brooklyn has to offer while sampling some of the finest wines from the best wine regions in the world. Winemakers from New York will actually be selling their products on site which means you can take home your favorite right on the spot! You don’t want to miss the event that Thrillist says is one of the things “you absolutely have to do in NYC!”
