Land in Naples and settle into the Royal Continental, facing the bay with Vesuvius on the horizon. The afternoon is yours to shake off the flight — a walk along the seafront, an espresso at a corner bar. As evening falls, we gather for a short walk to a neighborhood pizzeria where pizza is still made the way it has been for generations: blistered crust, San Marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella. A glass of Campanian wine, introductions around the table, and the trip begins.

Accommodation Royal Continental Hotel, Naples Included Meals Welcome Dinner with wine

A local guide leads a three-hour walk through the heart of the city — the tight grid of the Spanish Quarters, laundry strung overhead, shrines tucked into corners, the churches and palazzi of the historic center. Lunch follows at a traditional restaurant: antipasto, a pasta course, dessert, and wine, unhurried. The afternoon is free for the archaeological museum, a coffee at Gambrinus, or nothing at all. Dinner is on your own, with plenty of recommendations from your guide.

Accommodation Royal Continental Hotel, Naples Included Meals Breakfast, lunch with wine

A morning ferry across the bay, then the funicular up to Capri town, where the piazzetta fills with light and the island opens up. After a 1-hour private sight-seeing boat excursion along the stunning coastline, the day is yours: the scenic walk out to the Faraglioni viewpoint, where three sea stacks rise straight out of the water; an optional climb to the ruins of a Roman villa; or a long lunch on your own with at table with a view. Return by ferry to Naples in the evening, with dinner at leisure.

Accommodation Royal Continental Hotel, Naples Included Meals Breakfast

Head inland to Sant'Agata dei Goti, a medieval town perched on a tufa cliff above a ravine — one of the most striking sights in Campania. Nearby, Mustilli takes us underground into cellars carved beneath the town, where the family helped bring Falanghina back from near-obscurity. Lunch is paired with three Selezioni wines: Aglianico, Pedirosso, and Greco. Afterward we transfer to the coast and check into Lloyd's Baia at Vietri sul Mare, the ceramics town at the head of the Amalfi Coast.

Accommodation Lloyd's Baia Hotel in Vietri sul Mare Included Meals Breakfast, lunch with wine tasting

A full day in Avellino, home to Campania's most age-worthy wines. At Tenuta Cavalier Pepe we walk the vineyards and cellar before a four-course lunch built around a vertical tasting of Fiano di Avellino DOCG — the same wine across several vintages, side by side, showing exactly how it evolves. The afternoon brings Sella Delle Spine and three more DOCG bottlings: Fiano, Greco di Tufo, and Taurasi, poured with small bites. Back to Vietri sul Mare by evening.

Accommodation Lloyd's Baia Hotel in Vietri sul Mare Included Meals Breakfast, lunch with wine tasting, afternoon tasting with food bites

Morning at Tenuta Vannulo, an organic buffalo farm where the herd is famously pampered and the mozzarella never travels — it's eaten within hours of being made. We tour the dairy, then sit down to a light lunch of mozzarella, vegetables, bread, and buffalo-milk gelato. On to Vigne di Raito, a small terraced estate above the Amalfi Coast, for a walk through the lemon groves and vineyards and a tasting of Costa d'Amalfi DOC wines with local pairings. Continue to Sorrento for the final nights.

Accommodation Europa Palace Hotel, Sorrento Included Meals Breakfast, light lunch, afternoon tasting with food bites

Two hours in Pompeii with a local expert — the streets, the frescoes, the bakeries and baths of a city stopped mid-day in 79 AD. From there we climb the slopes of the volcano that buried it to Sorrentino Vini, farming vines in the same mineral-rich ash. Lunch is served on the panoramic terrace, vineyards falling away below and the bay beyond. Return to Sorrento in the late afternoon; the evening is yours.

Accommodation Europa Palace Hotel, Sorrento Included Meals Breakfast, lunch with wine

A morning in Positano, the town stacked in pastel tiers down to the water — steps to the beach, galleries and shops along the way. We continue by ferry to Amalfi, where the striped cathedral rises above the piazza and there's time to browse for ceramics and limoncello before sailing back to Sorrento. The trip closes with a farewell dinner and wine: one last long table above the bay.

Accommodation Europa Palace Hotel, Sorrento Included Meals Breakfast, farewell dinner with wine

A final breakfast on the terrace — pastries, espresso, the bay laid out below — and then a group transfer to Naples airport for departing flights. You leave with nine days of Campania behind you: the pizza, the cellars beneath Sant'Agata, Fiano poured across vintages, mozzarella still warm, and lemons the size of your hand.
