Arrive in Cagliari on your own. Get together with Sam and the group in the evening for a welcome dinner at a local Cagliari restaurant.

Visit to Casteddu, the oldest city area, that gives its name to the city of Cagliari. View the panoramic Bastione St. Remy and the nearby Via Sulis. Leisure time in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a typical Sardinian dinner, in the enchanting ambience of an historic country house, a 30 minute drive outside Cagliari, characterized by the intense green of the “corbezzolo” (a typical Mediterranean plant) and myrtle, which decorate the dining garden. Enjoy a menu prepared by chefs who know how to connect traditional Sardinian culinary techniques and the creativity of high cuisine.

Winery visit in the Argiolas wine region, at one of the most important wineries in the region. The dominant grape variety here is Cannonau, which we will enjoy paired with a light lunch of local specialties. After the winery, head to the town of Barumini to visit the Su Nuraxi archaeological site which is Sardinia’s only UNESCO Site, and the island’s most important Nuragic-age ruins. The highlight is the main tower, dating from 1500 BC and incorporated over time into a vast fortified nuraghe compound. Then it’s on to the region of Alghero to check in at our next hotel, Hotel Calabona Leisure time to stroll in the beautiful old Catalan district of Alghero. Dinner on your own.

Travel by boat to the spectacular Grotta di Nettuno at Capo Caccia. Enter the caves, disembark and walk the stairways surriunding this unique destination, with views for miles. In the afternoon, visit a winery in Alghero’s wine producing area (Parpinello) and enjoy a tasting of local wines. Vermentino in this area has a completely different nuance compared to what most people have tried in Gallura! We will also discover Torbato, a Martinotti method spumante, produced with a rare local grape variety. Group dinner in a local restaurant.

After breakfast, travel to Bosa, a charming village on the banks of the Temo river. After free time to explore the village, we will visit a local winery. The area of Bosa is renowned for its white wines, made not only of Vermentino but also of Malvasia grapes. Tasting at Madeddu Winery, with a light lunch. Return to Alghero. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and dinner on your own at leisure

Leave the hotel after breakfast, and on the way to the Gallura region, stop in Berchidda, where we will visit an olive oil mill and the local wine museum. The Wine Museum, with its enological-ethnographic itinerary, illustrates the cultural aspects of wine production in Sardinia. Lunch in a local restaurant. We then travel to our next hotel in the Gallura region, the Airone Hotel. Group dinner and overnight at the hotel

In the morning, take a panoramic tour of the Costa Smeralda, where we will see some of the most iconic destinations, such as Baja Sardinia, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, we will continue exploring the Sardinian wine scene with a visit to a winery in Gallura, enjoying variety of local selections. The grape varietals cultivated in this area are Vermentino Superiore di Gallura and Cannonau. Return to our hotel for a group dinner and overnight

Check out of the hotel and set course for central Sardinia. Reach the area of Orgosolo, in the heart of Barbagia and situated in a valley at the foot of Supramonte's mountain range, surrounded by fascinating and charming natural landscapes dominated by wild, unspoiled nature. Enjoy a visit to the historical center of Orgosolo and the "Murales”Our local guide will provide information about the history of the town and its place in Sardinia's history. Enjoy a special, traditional lunch as guests of a group of local Sheperds and farmers. Immersed in a forest, we will sit for a lunch of sliced salami, cheese, lamb, roasted piglet, Pane Carasatu – the typical Sardinian crispy bread, wine and some of the best spirits of Sardinia, such as Mirto and Filu e Ferru. Arrive back at our hotel in Cagliari. Farewell dinner with the group at a local restaurant and overnight.
