A Taste of the South of France

Arrive at Nice airport and transfer on your own to your hotel in Nice. Check-in at 4-star Le Méridien Hotel (rooms ready at 2:00 PM). After lunch on your own, meet Sam and your English-speaking private French guide for a walking tour of Nice. Explore Promenade des Anglais with panoramic sea views. Visit Vieux Nice's historic center with narrow alleys, markets, and squares. In the evening, we'll enjoy a Welcome Dinner at Beaurivage Beach Restaurant with three-courses and wine.

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll take a scenic drive through Antibes and along Cap d’Antibes, followed by a shuttle boat ride to Saint Honorat Island for a wine tasting of two local wines. The group will continue on to a three-course lunch at La Tonnelle in San Honorat before heading to Cannes for a guided tour of the famed old town. We'll make a stop in historic Saint Paul de Vence on the way back to the hotel in Nice. Dinner in Nice will be on your own, with recommended restaurants.

Check out of the hotel in Nice and begin the day heading north to wine country with a private two-hour tour at Château de Berne, exploring the journey from vine to bottle. Enjoy an exclusive private wine tasting of six curated wines then have lunch on your own at the Château's spectacular bistro. In the afternoon, we travel to the iconic, picturesque town of Aix-en-Provence and check in at the 4-star Hotel Cézanne. The day concludes with a group welcome dinner at a local restaurant, savoring regional dishes and wines.

Take an authentic cooking class in downtown Aix-en-Provence, learning secrets of Provencal dishes from a local chef. Enjoy your creations over a convivial lunch with wine. Afterward, join a local guide for an engaging walking tour of the city and discover cobblestone streets, elegant architecture, vibrant culture. Experience renowned markets, sun-drenched squares, historic fountains, picturesque alleyways, and lively café culture. In the evening, savor dinner on your own, recommendations and reservation assistance available.

After checking out, we’ll board our coach at 9:00 AM and travel into the beautiful Luberon region. Along the way, we’ll stop for a three-course lunch in Ménerbes, including drinks with two glasses of wine. In the afternoon, we’ll continue on to Avignon, arriving in the late afternoon to check in at the 4-star Novotel Avignon Centre (or similar). This evening, enjoy a three-course dinner in downtown Avignon, including two glasses of wine per person. Overnight at the Novotel Avignon Centre (or similar), where we will stay for the next three nights.

In the morning, join our Local Guide for in Avignon for a private tour of the city and see the Ancient city along the Rhône River with rich architecture. We visit the Palais des Papes (Palace of Popes), a 14th-century Papacy residence; entrance tickets included. Marvel at the medieval ramparts, Labyrinthine streets: charming squares, hidden courtyards, picturesque gardens. Stop for lunch on your own at "Les Halles d'Avignon" featuring 40 merchants, Provençal market, and local products, then enjoy a free afternoon at your leisure. We visit Baux de Provence and learn about this historic area with our Local Guide. See medieval village on rocky cliffs. Explore cobblestone streets, stone houses, hilltop castle ruins, and take in panoramic views of the Provençal countryside. We'll enjoy a group lunch at a local restaurant with typical fare from the Avignon region. In the afternoon, we visit a Chateau and partake in a local wine tasting & olive oil tasting, featuring 5 wine selections in a flight. In the evening, together we savor a three-course Farewell Dinner.
