Speaker: Tom Deaso, Ridge Vineyards

  • Tom started his career as Eastern Regional Manager with Ridge in 2016.
  • He comes from 16 years in the wine business, most recently running the New England territory for Accolade Wines.
    His passion for wine was developed working in restaurants where he was responsible for two award-winning wine lists in Michigan.
  • He transitioned from restaurants into the wholesale side which lead him to working directly for wineries.

Speaker: Elizabeth Barnard, Grgich Hills Estate

  • Elizabeth Barnard joined the Grgich Hills family winery in January as the Director of Global Sales. With over a decade of experience in the wine industry, she previously served as Vice President of National Sales and Marketing at Klinker Brick Winery, where she played a pivotal role in expanding the national presence
    of its brands, including the acclaimed Old Ghost Zinfandel.
  • A Stanford University graduate, Elizabeth’s passion for wine was nurtured early on through her mother’s distributorship, which represented both Grgich and Ridge in the state of Indiana. Her deep industry knowledge and personal connection to the world of wine make her an exceptional addition to the Grgich Hills team.

Rafele Ristorante

In the historic West Village of New York City, Rafele delivers authentic Neapolitan flavors to the Big Apple. 12 years ago, Raffaele Ronca and Romeo Palmisano, a longtime friend and fellow native of Naples, began discussing the possibility of one day opening their own restaurant. Their idea was one that would avoid the clichés of traditional Italian cuisine and instead feature exquisite delicacies inspired by their beloved Naples.

Working together with a unified vision they planned every detail, from the eclectic menu of regional Neapolitan favorites and fresh daily made pastas, to various meat dishes, fresh delights from the sea and a renowned wine list.

The result of their hard work was realized in the summer of 2012 with the opening of their debut restaurant, Rafele.

  • Paccheri Bolognese – paccheri pasta, slowly cooked pork and beef in a classic Bolognese sauce

  • Grgich – 2020 Miljenko’s Old Vine Zinfandel

  • Galleto Arosto (GF): roasted organic chicken with Italian herbs
