Join us for a special tasting of Upstate Vodka --- and the mixing of cocktails it can make. It's an award-winning craft vodka made from NY State apples. You can taste the fruits of the makers' labor in every bottle of Upstate Vodka. Not every apple is created equal and not every batch is exactly the same. Part science, part art, using local apples, the distilling team takes the time and a hands-on approach to make the finest quality spirit with every batch. They take pride in creating a small batch, truly hand-crafted, agricultural product. A product that takes time, not technology.

GLUTEN FREE, MADE WITH APPLES

Vodka is typically associated with wheat or potatoes. So why does Sauvage use apples?
First, apple vodka is smoother with a slightly sweeter finish than grain vodkas. The distillery in upstate New York is surrounded by some of the finest apple orchards in the country.
Second, using apples guarantees that the vodka is gluten free. Upstate Vodka is a 100% gluten-free distillery.

THE DISTILLER'S STORY

Ken Wortz, native New Yorker and the Head Distiller, is committed to making quality products that are all local, all natural, and 100% handcrafted. He loves what he does.
His journey to Upstate Vodka began shortly after 9/11 when he was the COO of British Telecom, working and living in NYC. Deciding it was time to pursue his passions, he and his family eventually moved to Schoharic County and founded the Kymar Farm Distillery.
In 2018, Ken was asked to oversee operations at Upstate Vodka.

Meet Mixologist Will Hadjigeorgalis

Will is going to teach us how to make cocktails with Upstate Vodka. He is a veteran of the mixology world and has been working with emerging spirits brands for over 15 years.
As a Spirits Specialist in the NYC area Will has evolved some of the best new products into national brand status.
He has worked with with rising stars like Proximo Spirits, and he was the founder of Single Barrel, a spirits consulting firm in the Southwest U.S.
