Shellfish and Wine

  • …a perfect pairing
  • Learn why this combination is so classic and which wines complement shellfish best.
  • You’ll sample 3 different wines and try three different bites, each pairing designed for the overall flavor profile of the bite.

Terroir and Merroir

  • Winemakers often talk about the Terroir, the land on which the grapes are grown, and how that influences the final flavor profile of the wine.
  • A similar term, Merroir, is used by many shellfish growers, to speak how the water in which shellfish are harvested can influence its taste as well.
