Join us for a special virtual tasting with Peter Paul Wines, a California winery with a mission to showcase the sunny, easygoing temperament of fruit grown in California without losing the more refined elements of the grape’s DNA and European heritage. With 2,000 cases produced annually under the eyes of Master of Wine Martin Reyes, Peter Paul has garnered critical acclaim, including twice being named “One of the Year’s Best US Cabernets” by Wine & Spirits. Sommelier Meghan Vergara will join us to taste a few selections.

In 2002, the first vintage of Peter Paul Wines was bottled by their namesake from some of the most historic & well-known vineyards in the Napa and Sonoma regions.
Two decades and numerous critical scores and awards later, Peter Paul Wines is a well-respected California winery.
Each of their wines presents the hallmark characteristics of the terroir, while hitting that sweet spot of ripe but not overblown, elegant but not anemic, with everything in proper proportion.
Their wines are known for delivering density, richness, and joy while still saying “Please and Thank You.”

Master of Wine

A San Diego native, Martin is the only Master of Wine of Mexican descent in the world, and one of less than 60 in the US.
A Master of Wine is the most globally respected title in the industry concerning the production & business of wine.
A prolific multidisciplinary career in the trade led to a “Top Forty under Forty Tastemakers” Award by Wine Enthusiast in 2015, taking over Peter Paul Wines as the General Manager the following year.

Meet Meghan Vergara

Meghan Vergara is a Certified Sommelier with over 15 years experience working in world class culinary and wine markets such as New York City and Napa Valley.
Ms. Vergara believes in sharing the joy, beauty and craftsmanship of good wine and making it more fun to understand and take part in confidently at every stage of your wine journey!
Meghan and Martin have known each other for many years and she is thrilled that everything has come full circle.
