About Moritz

  • From the creators of Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab comes a new culinary experience to downtown Brooklyn: Moritz, an Austrian& German eatery.
  • Mortiz is a fast-casual German eatery located in the Dekalb Market, where elevated street food is served with premium ingredients, paired with wine or beer.

about Erkan Emre

  • The founder of Mortitz, Erkan Emre, has been eating street food like döner since his childhood in Berlin.
  • When he moved to New York City, he noticed there was nowhere to feed his craving. The only solution was to bring döner to New York City himself.
  • After the success of his first restaurant, Kotti Berliner, he turned to bringing elevated street food he loved to the city.

The Menu

  • German Schnitzel in Pretzel Bun: Tender chicken schnitzel served over fresh, lightly pickled red cabbage with our homemade aioli-remoulade.
  • Authentic Wiener Schnitzel: Tender veal served over fresh mixed greens with the classic side of roasted potatoes and traditional lingonberries.
  • Berliner Currywurst: Sliced brat finished with Berliner, curry-ketchup, and fries topped with mayo.
