Cocktail #1 - Negroni Sbagliato holiday cocktail

The Negroni Sbagliato is a delightful Italian cocktail with a fascinating twist. Invented in Milan, this bubbly variation of the classic Negroni replaces the traditional gin with sparkling wine, such as Prosecco, giving it a lighter and effervescent character. The resulting drink is a harmonious blend of bittersweet flavors, thanks to the Campari and sweet vermouth, with a fizzy, refreshing quality. Served over ice and garnished with a slice of orange, the Negroni Sbagliato is a perfect aperitif that balances the bitter, the sweet, and the sparkling, making it a favorite among cocktail enthusiasts seeking something unique and invigorating.

Cocktail #2 - French 75

The French 75 is a cocktail made from gin, champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. It is also called a 75 Cocktail, or in French simply a Soixante Quinze (Seventy Five).

The drink dates to World War I, and an early form was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris—later Harry’s New York Bar—by barman Harry MacElhone. The combination was said to have such a kick that it felt like being shelled with the powerful French 75mm field gun.
