Overview

Hartford Family Winery is a family-owned winery located in the Russian River area of Sonoma County. They specialize in single-vineyard Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and old vine Zinfandel. The wines produced express the character of their unique vineyards. And the proof is in the results. Hartford is one of California's most acclaimed wineries. Here's what the legendary wine critic Robert Parker says: "Their wines are always some of the most exciting as well as diverse offerings in my tastings, and I always walk away shaking my head at just how good they are." - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

Meet Co-Owner Hailey Hartford Murray

Hailey Hartford Murray’s passion for wine is born from the joy she experiences working alongside her family to craft something lasting & beautiful.

Wine enjoyed with others nurtures the bonds between one another and when sustainably farmed provides a unique opportunity to also nurture & protect the land it’s sourced from.

Hailey was only four years old when her parents founded Hartford Family Winery and grew up with an eight-acre Zinfandel vineyard in her backyard. Some of her fondest memories are playing amongst the century-old vines and feeding apples to her neighbor’s horses.

Making delicious wines of high personality is directly related to the difficult locations of our vineyard sources, the limited production of our bottlings and the varietals we use. “Character through adversity” is an expression that we believe applies to people and grapevines and surviving adversity builds character, and personality, in both.
